On September 28, 2013, a group of about 50-75 people gathered at the Tribute to Human Rights memorial in Ottawa to protest Western intervention in Syria.
Organized by the Ottawa Peace Assembly and Solidarity Syria, the group has been holding protests on the first Saturday of every month since the beginning of summer.
These protests have garnered attendances of between 500-700 people. Among those in attendance today were speakers from the Ottawa Peace Assembly, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) and the Syrian Arab Association of Canada.
